Squire(5) Williamson Stubbs (1837-1922) [John(4), John(3),
John(2), Thomas(1) Stubbs]. Levi Coffin ('President' of the Underground
Railroad) in his Reminiscences mentions stopping at the house
of "Squire Stubbs, a well known abolitionist."
Pre-1914 Stubbs Reunion of the Squire Williamson Stubbs
descendants. To the left of the middle post are Anna Golander
Stubbs wife of John Hiram Stubbs (son of Squire W. Stubbs) to
her left is John H. Stubbs. To the left of John H. is his son
John Rolla Stubbs. The second girl sitting on the rail to the
left of the middle post is Elsie R. Stubbs. The rest of the group
is so far unidentified.
Mary Helen Stubbs, daughter of Squire Williamson Stubbs,
born October 31, 1858 in Coletown, OH, died July 7, 1931 in Chicago,
IL. Mary Helen was an artist.
