Keziah Kellum Blossom, daughter of William and Deborah Kellum, was born in the eastern part of Ohio on the 18th day of July, 1805 and departed this life in the village of West Elkton, Ohio on the 4th day of August, 1888, aged 83 years and 17 days, being the last of five sisters to be called home. Her parents moved from eastern Ohio while she was yet an infant and settled not far from West Elkton. She married Perry Blossom, son of Joseph and Sylvia Blossom, and was the mother of 14 children, five of whom are living.
Mother Blossom in her walk through life was quiet and unassuming and very much devoted to her children and beloved by them. Many years ago here name was placed on the Methodist Church book at Sommerville where she was pleased to attend meeting as often as opportunity afforded. But during the later months of her life which were spent at West Elkton with two of her daughters she seemed to feel most at home in the meeting held by the Society of Friends. It was during the months of her life at West Elkton that she gave the most evidence of an abiding faith in Him who doeth all things well. During the greater part of her life she enjoyed remarkable good health but in the year 1884 she was seriously affected by a stroke of paralysis which was followed later by another stroke but not so severe, yet still seriously to be affecting her health. Her last sickness was thought at first to be attended by a paralytic stroke from whihc she partially rallied. But it was evident that her race was nearly run, and in the evening of the 9th day of her sickness she quietly and peacefully passed away, leaving many relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
Anna Kellum, the eldest of the five sisters, was born in Georgia February 20th, 1801; she was married to William Dill and raised a family of 6 children to the age of maturity. Anna and husband are both dead now.
Rebecca Kellum died early in life; she was born in Georgia in 1802.
Elizabeth died about the same time as Rebecca.
Hannah Kellum Lantis died a few months over a year ago, leaving behind her a number of children and grandchildren who were deare to her in life.
Third child of Keziah and Perry Blossom was William Blossom who married Nancy Johnson about 1853 or 1854. Their children:
Amos born about 1855
Harriet born about 1856
William born February 22, 1858; married Clara Stubbs May 12th, 1878
Hannah born 1860
